He won many awards, including two Grammy Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, two American Music Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards, two BET Hip Hop Awards, and two iHeartRadio Music Awards. His song also did well on the Billboard charts.

The Struggle Of Lil Nas X To Be Gay

The rapper talks about his struggles with his sexuality; in an interview with CBS, the singer of “Old Town Road” said that he knew he was gay as a teenager and “would just pray and pray” that he would “stop being gay.  But he admits that his fame made it easier for him to come out.

“It’s easy for me because I’m in this position.” “But it’s not going to be good for a little boy 10 miles away.” Lil Nas X said, there is still a lot of work to be done in terms of acceptance for the LGBT community in society.

“We still have a long way to go, because it’s not like everybody is messing with me now. ‘ Of course somebody who’s listening to me in school right now, it’s like, ‘You’re gay, cause you’re listening to him.’ There’s still lot to be done.”

He also added that Public figures coming out will “always help” others who may be struggling in the same way.
